- Hi,
-
- I have a panel of RJ11 sockets tp which numerous modems are connected.
- Sometimes, a modem has to be taken out temporarily. Since all lines are
- on the same hunting group, that line needs to be made busy, off-hook.
- At the moment I do that by simply plugging in a telephone and leaving
- the phone off hook. Not a nice solution.
-
- I want to create / wire / solder a RJ11 plug than I can stick into the
- socket so that the exchange thinks the line is busy. I imagine that that
- should be fairly simple, but I don't know how exactly to do it. Should
- I put a resistor between the leads or so? A diagram might be useful.
-
- Please follup-up via email to eelco@pipex-sz.net .
-
- Thanks!
